Auxillary Church Ministries

2009072812074898883F Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry is a ministry consisting of   servants.  The Ministry’s first responsibility is unto the Lord.    “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing,   that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

Putting Christ first, we turn our attention to the needs of Pastor King, the other Ministries and the Members of Ezekiel. Taking care of the necessity of the saints is what hospitality is all about. You will find us acting as: Greeters, Servers, Cooks, Waiters and Waitresses. In the event, your Ministry needs help with decorations, setting up or cleaning up, help will be provided. This Ministry will help with bereavements upon request. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Christian Education

A happy family reading the Bible together. Sunday School

The original foundation of Sunday School was to teach poor children the life-changing message of God’s Word. Today, Sunday School has expanded its mission to reach all types of individuals including children, teens and adults whether they are church members or not. We believe that the Word of God through the Holy Spirit is impacting, encouraging, illuminating, transforming and inspiring to all that believe. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.  2 Timothy 3:16-17(HCS).

Our goal is to teach the Word of God so that each person may grow in knowledge, understanding,  love for God and one another. That through this endeavor we are empowered to fulfill God’s plan for our lives. He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ. Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love (Ephesians 4:11-16 (NLT).Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.Contact Us

The primary elements of Vacation Bible School include Bible study, worship, crafts, music, missions, and recreation and snacks.

This year’s theme was taken from: God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9 (HCS)

Deacons Ministry

 200908041208286CD581 Deacons Ministry

First and foremost the Deacon is a servant of God. He represents Christ, the church and the Pastor. A Deacon is a chosen leader of the church, handling many of the duites and problems that occur both seen and unseen in the administration of the church. He must be available and willing to help all of the church members when called upon. A Deacon is the right hand, ears and eyes of the Pastor helping him out always.

The Deacon sometimes serves as a conduit between the congregation and the pastor. We try to interecede with many problems and provide counsel where necessary, so that the pastor can concentrate on his job which is to preach and teach the Word of God. A Deacon should have knowledge of the Word so whatever is asked of him, he can accurately respond with scripture. Whatever is tasked to him is completed decently and in order. 1 Timothy 3:1-12

 Praise and Worship Team

The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). In other words, God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise. This means that when we participate in praise and worship it is not merely a reaction (good feeling) to stirring music or beautiful signing – Praise and Worship permits us access into the presence and power of God! We enter into the inner sanctuary of God, His holiness and glory. The psalmist writes, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4).

New Members Ministry

  New Members Ministry

You come to Learn, You Leave to Serve In the New Members Ministry we strive to obtain a spiritual transformation. Our work consists of changing a new believer into the likeness of Jesus Christ by creating a new identity founded in the Word of God. The training consists of four modules that introduce and explain the concepts of Christian beliefs to the new member.

The New Members classes are designed to provide a biblical foundation for the journey ahead and to incorporate the new member into the local body of Christ. Additionally, another goal is to create disciples amongst the flock. The New Members classes identify the requirements and responsibility of discipleship.

Prayer Ministry

 2009073101070671D7BC Prayer Ministry

Mission Statement We believe we should pray comprehensively for God’s Will as well as for the knowledge of God of church members and others. This ministry collects, organizes and prays for various types of requests. The prayer requests may be related to missions, salvation, health, finances, widows, orphans, singles, married couples, recovery etc. We believe that the constancy of prayer is important because the prayers of saints are a pleasing fragrance to God.

Intercessory Prayer is a ministry that unleashes God’s power to bring out HIS kingdom goals. The Ezekiel Baptist Church Prayer Ministry IS the most important service of “standing in the gap” between God and our fellow man through intercessory prayer. The ministry undergrids our church, staff and church family. The ministry also prays for people throughout the community, city, state, nation and the world. The Holy Spirit quips the intercessors to pray effectively. “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascendend up before God out of the angels hand. Revelation 8:3-4 (KJV)

Recovery Ministry

 Broken Chain  Recovery Ministry

The goal of the Recovery Ministry, through the Word of God, is to help those struggling with any addiction or any stronghold in their life. We want to see people free and delivered from their addiction. We use the Word of God and encouragement from the group to help members as God has helped us.

We bring spiritual fellowship where others can see their is hope and all is not lost if you just give your life to Jesus Christ. We communicate that there are alternatives and hope in Jesus. If they give themselves over to Him anything is possible. Members are taught by His word. We supply bibles specifically for those in recovery. Study guides and handbooks are used to teach and provide guidance during the transformation. The ministry is associated with other Christian Rehab ministries in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Connecticut. At times members are sent to facilities to help them through their recovery. Ministry staff is available 24/7 and we welcome anyone whether or not they are a member of Ezekiel. We adopt you into our family. The ministry motto is based on Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ strengthens me.” The Recovery Ministry meets each Tuesday evening from 7 pm until 9 pm.
